New cooperation programme between Switzerland and Tunisia

On 24 April, SECO, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) launched Switzerland's new cooperation programme with Tunisia for 2025–2028.

With this new programme, Switzerland is continuing to contribute to sustainable economic development that offers opportunities for all, and to social development with the aim of consolidating the rule of law and social peace.

Selected results of the Swiss programme 2021–2024 with Tunisia

  • Vocational training: 7,000 young people trained,
  • Energy efficiency: audits carried out in 350 municipalities to serve as a basis for future investment projects.
  • Sustainable tourism: 1,000 jobs created, 150 stakeholders trained in leadership, hospitality and cultural heritage,
  • Regional products: 2,000 jobs created, 124 new products certified,
  • Local development: Improved access to basic services for residents of 17 villages.
