New country programme with Peru 2025–2028
SECO has presented its new country programme with Peru for 2025–2028. It prioritises sustainable economic growth in Peru and the strengthening and further development of public institutions.
SECO has presented its new country programme with Peru for 2025–2028. It should help to ensure that the Peruvian economy grows sustainably and that public institutions develop well. In particular, the programme promotes competitive, innovative and sustainable companies and public institutions, especially in cities.
Peru has been a candidate for OECD membership since 2022. The Swiss programme is also helping the country to achieve the necessary OECD standards for accession.
Peru has been a priority country for SECO's economic cooperation and development since 2009. It is Switzerland's third most important trading partner in Latin America.
