Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform

Greater sustainability in the coffee sector

06.06.2024 - The Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform was launched in Bern, a multi-stakeholder initiative by the Swiss coffee industry, the SECO, civil society and academia. These stakeholders have marked their commitment to ensuring that the coffee sector will uphold human rights, protect the climate and the environment and adhere to sustainable coffee sourcing principles. This should result in improved living conditions for coffee producers.

International cooperation 2025–2028

Private sector development, public institutions and infrastructure

22.05.2024 - The Federal Council adopted Switzerland's international cooperation strategy for 2025 to 2028. In accordance with this strategy, SECO will contribute to poverty reduction in its partner countries by strengthening the private sector, public institutions, infrastructure and urban development.
