SECO’s interventions in Uzbekistan are complementary to those of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) under the joint Swiss Cooperation Strategy for Central Asia.
Switzerland's cooperation strategy for Central Asia aims at poverty alleviation, facilitation of sustainable, private sector-led growth, equitable access to good quality public services and transition towards a pluralistic and economically viable state.
The Swiss cooperation with Central Asia complies with the demands and priorities of the three partner countries Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. SECO supports especially efficient water systems in urban and rural areas in Uzbekistan.
SECO and the SDC, for which Uzbekistan is a priority country, jointly define and implement the Swiss Cooperation Strategy in Central Asia, which includes Uzbekistan.
