Strategic focus

SECO aligns its strategy with the overall objective of Switzerland’s international cooperation. To achieve this, SECO pursues four target outcomes, all of which contribute to sustainable and inclusive growth:

Swiss international cooperation

Switzerland pursues objectives in line with the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.

SECO’s mandate

SECO’s mandate is to enable sustainable and inclusive economic growth in its partner countries.

SECO’s objectives

SECO’s economic and trade policy measures focus on four sustainable target outcomes.

Switzerland’s official development assistance

In 2015 Switzerland contributed CHF 3,403 million as official development assistance.
