SECO aims to create jobs and dignified working conditions. It does this by investing in companies and promoting international labour standards.

More and better jobs are key to generating inclusive economic development. Apart from a business-enabling environment, companies also need investment capital and skilled workers if they are to create employment. The jobs created should meet certain requirements and offer safe and dignified working conditions.

SECO’s priorities

Promoting entrepreneurship

Good jobs are created where companies are dynamic and workers are well trained.

Facilitating access to finance

Businesses need access to long-term financing if they are to grow and create jobs.

Will digitalisation make human labour redundant? Will jobs disappear without ever beeing replaced?
